Week Two Summary – IRA Goal – 12/9/18 – 12/15/18

Out of the four goals for this 31 week challenge, I think this one is going to be the most dynamic.  At the end of last week I was set on finishing track 3 at optionalpha.com.  That didn’t happen.  It didn’t happen because I was letting the knowledge need of each day direct what I would learn.  I think this served me well this week. Week Two Summary – Run Goal – 12/9/18 – 12/15/18

I mentioned last week that we weren’t starting the Run Goal until this week.  It’s tough getting into ketosis and getting cardio in the first week.  I’m old and I just don’t enjoy the pain that much anymore.  That being said, we had 3 runs scheduled this week and we got all 3 of them done.  I say 3 runs but I’m not sure what I did this week any runner would actually consider “running”.  Gotta start somewhere.   So far

Week Two Summary – 1000lb Goal – 12/9/18 – 12/15/18

1000lb Goal: Bench: 225 – 5×5Squat: 240 – 5×5Deadlift: 225 – 1×5 Total: 690 Things went according to plan this week.  Squats happened 3x, M,W,F and resulted in a 15lb gain as we go up 5lbs for each successful 5×5.  Bench happened twice and I cheated on Deadlifts as I was feeling a bit saucy and jumped the weight by 10lbs. Week Two Summary – Weight Goal – 12/9/18 – 12/15/18

This was a difficult week.  I added a pound since last Saturday’s reading.  I have a lot of reasons as to why that might have happened and I’m sure it’s justified but I hate not seeing some progress week to week.  I’m backing off of supplementation for a while.  It just doesn’t seem necessary at this point and I’m pretty sure the protein supplementation knocked me out of ketosis for a day this week.  Since I’ve stopped the creatine, glutamine
